I love a lean fish dinner, and this air fryer tilapia is one of my favorites. You can add the frozen fish fillets straight to your air fryer, and have dinner ready in 15 minutes. I love how easy it is to make, and how tasty the result is!
Frozen tilapia fillets will take longer to air fry. You also can't really season them before you add them to the air fryer, because the seasoning might simply drip off as the fish thaws. I therefore highly recommend air frying the frozen fish for a few minutes to allow the surface to thaw before you add any seasoning.
Seasoning is everything! You can use any seasoning you like for your tilapia. I typically just eyeball the amount until there's a thin layer of seasoning on the fish, but aim to use about teaspoon in total on each fish fillet. Here are some of my top choices:
Spinach is an ideal ingredient to pair with both sweet potato as well as feta. It's earthy and a little bitter, delicious with sweet and sour flavours. The lightly baked tangy mixture of fresh spinach and sharp feta really brings out the caramel sweetness of the sweet potato in this recipe. (See also roasted sweet potato and spinach soup).
But dogs do not need fruits or vegetables, and some can be toxic; here is a list of which fruits and veggies are safe or unsafe. However, some vegetables have useful nutrients and can also serve as low-calorie snacks. Here are the two sides of the spinach controversy.
Spinach contains large amounts of vitamins A, B, C, and K. It also contains iron, antioxidants, beta-carotene, and roughage, which stimulate the digestive tract. Your dog food should be contain all the nutrients your pup needs, but small amounts of spinach can provide some benefits.
Many sources agree that a dog would have to eat very large quantities of spinach to cause damage. Dogs that have healthy kidneys can easily process small amounts of soluble oxalates. But long-term consumption can cause kidney stress, muscle weakness, abnormal heart rhythms, and even respiratory paralysis. As a result, owners of dogs prone to kidney and bladder stones might want to avoid feeding their pets foods like spinach.
If you weigh this evidence and decide to feed your dog spinach, preparation is important. The best way to prepare it is steamed. Boiled spinach loses most of its nutrients, and raw spinach is difficult for a dog to digest.
White fish is a generic term that encompasses several types of fish, that tend to be plentiful, quick-cooking, and mildly flavored. Regionally, there may be many types of white fish - including tilapia, haddock, sole, flounder, grouper, sea bass, and snapper.
This recipe doesn't take much to make! You'll only need some tilapia (or other white fish) fillets, coconut milk, kosher salt, spices (cumin, paprika, turmeric, garlic powder, ground ginger, and cayenne), and shredded coconut.
4. Remove from heat and stir in the balsamic vinegar and spinach until it wilts down. This may take a few minutes of gentle stirring. Taste the mixture and add seasoning if necessary.
The second was an entirely different approach, doing away with the traditional tomato base, Green Shakshuka is a suatee of fresh spinach gently seasoned with cumin, coriander and garlic, served with lightly fried eggs and feta cheese. For a region devoted to tradition, this is a wonderful way to break free from the mold.
The spinach and sweet potato hash I served with dinner tonight was inspired by the green shakshuka I adore, the flavors very similar, and a perfect side-dish to the baked-tilapia that took center stage.
Cooking Tip: To thaw a box of spinach quickly, remove the outer wrapper. Put the box of spinach on a microwaveable plate. Microwave on 100 percent power (high) for 3 1/2 to 4 minutes.
I substituted Turbot for the tilapia because I'm not a fan and added some paprika to the fish but kept the rest true to the recipe. Really flavorful and quick to make! For step-by-step photos, check out my post at: -with-pineapple-salsa-and-tomato-avocado-salad.html

Was looking for a quick recipe for some tilapia I had in the deep freeze for a long long time. The cooking time was pretty spot on. I used a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper so there was no cleanup. Will definitely be making this again sometime as I still have some filets to use up, and this is simple.
1. Place one tilapia fillet on a piece of parchment paper. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, top with chopped veggies, drizzle on some wine, and dot with butter or olive oil. A dash of garlic powder and/or other fresh or dried herbs would also be delicious!
